If you follow Britney Spears on social media, you may have noticed that she’s a fitness junkie. Most recently, the 41-year-old has taken up a special interest in yoga, which she took to Instagram to share a clip of on Sunday, January 12. During her yoga session, Brit wore a bright turquoise ʙικιɴι and as always, she looked amazing.
“Another day at yoga …. consistency is key,” she captioned it. “With me it’s sort of like prayer. Such a beautiful day …. godspeed and god bless.” Get it, girl! While Britney has always worked out, she began taking yoga seriously right after New Year’s. On January 2, the “Stronger” crooner showed off her acro-yoga skills, which is a mix of acrobatics and yoga.
“In 2020, I will be doing a lot more acro-yoga and the basics for yoga,” she captioned her Insta video at the time. “I’m a beginner and it’s kind of hard to let go, learning to trust and letting someone else hold your body!”
The pop star continued, “I have a lot of things I keep bottled up so I have to keep my body moving! Thank God for Mother Nature …. she’s really no joke …. she grounds me and helps me find my feet and always opens my mind when I step outside!!!! I was lucky today with this beautiful weather.”
Britney is also prioritizing her mental health. On January 11, she shared a quote with followers about living life to the fullest. “If you love something, love it completely, cherish it, say it, but most importantly, show it. Life is finite and fragile and just because something is there for one day, it might not be the next. Never take that for granted,” read the quote. “Say what you need to say, then say a little more. Say too much. Show too much. Love too much. Everything is temporary but love. Love outlives us all.”
It looks like the blonde beauty is taking her own advice despite what the haters say. Her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, has been looking out for Brit and even advised her to take time off from social media, according to a source who spoke to Life & Style in December. “Jamie Lynn told Britney that sometimes the healthiest thing is to step back and take a break,” the insider said. She’s been actively posting so it looks like Britney isn’t letting the negativity get to her. You go, girl!
